Some of the sessions Hanson attended include; A Brilliant Disguise: Illnesses that Look Like Behavior Problems by Dr. Emily Levine, Critical Periods of Social and Psychological Development by Gail Fisher, Current Nutrition Controversies: The Science Behind Feeding Fido and Fluffy by Linda Case, Behavioral Relapse in Animals: Mechanisms of Extinction and Response Recovery by Dr. Ruth Colwill and Essential Components of Effective Behavior Change for All Species of Learners by Dr. Susan Friedman. The IAABC is working to standardize and support the practice of companion animal behavior consulting, while providing resources for pet owners needing advice.
