There is potential for advancement for the candidate that demonstrates leadership skills, dependability and good judgment.

This is typically a part time position available. Shifts vary from 4 to 8 hours in length and will average from 15 to 25 hours per week. The part time position may be assigned an open shift (typically 6:30AM to 3:00PM), a mid-day shift (typically 10AM-5PM) or a closing shift (typically 2PM to 8PM). All kennel staff are assigned an abbreviated shift on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Weekend shifts, evening shifts and other holiday shifts will be required.

While experience is preferred, we will train the right person. Continued employment will depend on your ability to perform your assigned duties accurately, your animal handling skills and the passing of a written exam covering first aid, animal behavior and body language and procedures and policies.  Study materials and assistance will be provided for this exam.
