Joel Walton Puppy SeminarOn Saturday, August 4th, at 9AM, we will be hosting a 3-hour puppy training seminar with Joel Walton, CPDT, noted author of Positive Puppy Training Works and co-author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Labrador Retrievers and Labrador Retrievers for Dummies. Walton will discuss the proper use of the Management, Relationship and Education (MRE) System to help new puppy guardians solve their puppy dog behavior problems. Housetraining, play biting, chewing, pulling on leash and polite meeting and greeting will all be addressed. The seminar is for people only. Joel Walton began his dog training career in 1986 after 25 years of active service in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard. After helping families to train their dogs for many years, Joel now restricts his practice to fearful and aggressive behavior cases in the Washington, DC area. He continues to provide classes and mentoring for aspiring positive dog trainers and conducts seminars as he travels around the US. He became one of the first Certified Pet Dog Trainers in 2001. Joel and his wife Janet live with over twenty Labrador Retrievers in Maryland. There is limited seating available for the seminar so Green Acres’ is asking that those interested in attending reserve a spot with a minimum $15/seat donation to the Bangor Humane Society Shed & Emily Fund. Reservation checks can be sent to Green Acres or you can reserve a spot with your credit card by calling us at 945-6841. Please join us for what will be a fun and educational morning with a great trainer and good friend, Joel Walton
