Solid Gold, established in 1974, was one of the first companies in the United States to use natural ingredients in their pet foods. The company takes a holistic approach to health care and thus considers every part of your pet when designing a nutritious diet. The quality and choice of ingredients that Solid Gold uses in its foods are critical to its success. Solid Gold uses only USDA Choice lamb and beef meal and USDA grade I and II grains. They do not include artificial preservatives in any of their formulas nor do they use wheat, corn, or soy, as these are common allergens for pets.

To ensure absolute freshness of their product for your pet, Solid Gold packs their food in bags with a foil “barrier.” This type of packaging helps to maintain the potency of vitamins and nutrients within the food that would otherwise diminish over time in conventional packaging.
