[Bangor]- Kate Dutra, Operations Manager and Lead Instructor at the Green Acres Kennel Shop in Bangor, has earned Level I recertification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), the only internationally recognized certification program for professional dog trainers. Certificants must recertify with the CCPDT every three years, documenting a minimum of thirty-six hours of continuing education in CCPDT approved courses. Dutra has been on the Green Acres staff since 1992 and is a Professional Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).

In business since 1965, Green Acres Kennel Shop at 1653 Union Street is a Pet Care Services Association (PCSA) accredited facility offering boarding, daycare and grooming for dogs and cats, as well as pet behavior consultations and training classes. Bangor Humane Socity Announces Spay / Neuter Clinic for Low Income Families

Thursday, February 18, 2010 – With just weeks before “kitten season” the Bangor Humane Society with the generous support of four area veterinarians is preparing for its first ever spay/neuter clinic that will be available to low-income cat owners later this month. The cooperating veterinarians and BHS understand that the need for low-cost programs for pet owners is at a critical level. Controlling the population of unwanted cats and kittens is largely dependent on people having their cats spayed or neutered. (more…)

Debra Bell, from Bell Imaging and Design, will be at Green Acres Kennel Shop on Sunday, November 8th to capture your precious pet on film – for the holiday season or just because. Each 15-minute session costs $25 and includes; a 5X7 print in a handsome folio, an online gallery of your pet’s session and a special treat for you and your pet. Discounts on the purchases of greeting cards and prints will be available. Debra will be donating $5 from every session to the Eastern Area Agency on Aging Furry Friends Food Bank and Green Acres will match that with an additional $5. [Bangor]- For the eighth year in a row, Green Acres Kennel Shop has been voted the Bangor Regions Best Kennel in a survey conducted by Market Surveys of America. They were also voted the Bangor Regions Best Pet Store for the third consecutive year.
