I only use the original Bach Flower Remedies manufactured by Nelson’s for two reasons.

1. Nelson’s Homeopathic Pharmacy and The Bach Foundation jointly prepare the remedies per Dr. Bach’s original instructions, from the same sources that Dr. Bach discovered. They are are listed in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS) and have been issued with National Drug Code (NDC) numbers by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are sold as over-the-counter homeopathic products in the United States. There are many companies that now manufacture their own version of the “Bach” remedies but it is unclear if they are prepared according to Dr. Bach’s guidelines or where the source flowers come from. It is also unclear if they have taken the time to register their remedies with the FDA.
2. Dr. Bach felt very strongly that each patient must be evaluated individually in order to determine the most appropriate remedy or remedies for their particular situation. This is still a requirement today for me as a Bach Foundation Registered Animal Practitioner. It is also why Dr. Bach only developed one combination remedy, Bach Rescue Remedy, specifically to be used only in emergency situations when a complete patient consultation was not possible. This is why you will not find specific Bach Flower Remedies for the treatment of separation anxiety, thunderstorm phobia, or aggression etc. I have used the remedies to help clients with all of the issues above. While some of the remedies in their mix are the same, there are almost always remedies that I use that are specific to a pet’s specific emotional profile. For example:  two dogs with separation anxiety may get a very different mix of remedies.
