Customer Service Associate – Part Time to Full Time

The Job

A Customer Service Associate is responsible for primary client contact and acts as a liaison between the client and the animal care staff. This position is responsible for checking in and checking out boarding and grooming animals, the scheduling of boarding, grooming and training clients, answering the phone and greeting and assisting clients with purchases. This position includes advising on different foods and supplies, interfacing with groomers and pet care associates regarding the instructions, health and general well-being of pets in our care, running the cash drawer and credit card machines and end of day reports. Also required is the stocking and fronting of merchandise, checking in of shipments when applicable, verifying vaccinations as needed, basic administrative tasks as requested, keeping the retail area tidy and clean, and other general duties as requested. Some kennel duties may also be assigned as needed.

There is currently a part time position available. Shifts vary from 5 to 12 hours in length and will average from 15 to 25 hours per week.  Weekend shifts, evening shifts and other holiday shifts may also be required.

While experience is preferred, we will train the right person. Continued employment will depend on your ability to perform your assigned duties accurately and your customer service and animal handling skills.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma, further advanced education a plus
