What Can I Bring With My Pet for Boarding/Daycare

Thank you for your interest in Green Acres Kennel Shop, your pet’s home away from home. Whether you have already made your boarding reservation or are considering us for the future we would like to thank you for taking the time to review the belonging’s policy for animals staying with us.

Please know that with the exception of medications or any special diets, it is not necessary for you to bring items from home unless you choose to do so. We will provide your pet with bedding, NutriSource pet food, treats and toys (should they desire) while they are with us. If however you wish to bring some personal items, with the exception of bedding, the following are some guidelines that we respectfully request you adhere to. (For cleaning purposes, we ask that you please do not bring any bedding. We will provide all pets with bedding for the duration of their stay with us.)

For pets coming for just one night:

  • Bedding – Green Acres will provide all of the necessary bedding for your pet. We have a variety of different styles of beds to accommodate the different needs of our guests.
  • Toys - Please do not bring any toys as we will provide these for your pet. It is kennel policy to collect and clean all belongings the day before an animal is scheduled to check out so for that one evening they will receive kennel supplies anyway.
  • Chewies – Bones, Bully Sticks, Rawhides, Greenies, etc. are welcome but please limit them to no more than one per day. As these are consumables, there is a high probability that they will not be returned. For your convenience, we also offer many of these items on our Room Service Menu [Cat - Room Service] [Dog Room Service].
  • Medication - Should your pet require medication during its stay, it must be in a container labeled with your pet’s name, your name, the type of medication, the dosage and the prescribing veterinarian.
  • Food - Food is included with Boarding so it is not necessary to supply your own food unless you wish to do so or your dog is on a special diet. Please limit the amount you bring to what is required for your pet’s stay. Food should be in a container labeled with your pet’s name, your last name, the type of food and the feeding instructions.
  • Clothing - In inclement weather, please feel free to bring sweaters and booties for play outdoors.

For pets staying for more than one night:

  • Bedding – Green Acres will provide all of the necessary bedding for your pet. We have a variety of different styles of beds to accommodate the different needs of our guests.
  • Toys - You are welcome to bring your pet’s favorite toys while it is with us, but we respectfully request that you limit the number of toys to two. It is kennel policy to collect and clean all belongings the day before an animal is scheduled to check out so for their last evening they will receive kennel supplies.
Please bring enough medication for your pet’s stay and a few extra days should you be delayed on your return.
  • Food & Treats - Food is included with Boarding so it is not necessary to supply your own food unless you wish to do so or your dog is on a special diet. Please limit the amount you bring to what is required for your pet’s stay. Food should be in a container labeled with your pet’s name, your last name, the type of food and the feeding instructions. We provide treats for pets staying with us, but should you elect to bring your own you are welcome to do so. We ask that you limit the amount to a reasonable quantity for your pet’s stay.
  • Clothing - In inclement weather, please feel free to bring sweaters and booties for play outdoors.

As always, feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding your pet’s boarding. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you and your pet soon.
